April 20, 2020 – Losier’s Donate $25, 000 to Miramichi Community Food Bank

Dr. Gerard and Judy knew all too well those who rely on the Miramichi Community Food Bank would need a helping hand during the COVID-19 pandemic. Reaching out to MCFB Director Jean Matchett, the Losier’s learned that roughly 1200 clients are registered with the food bank, but usually they serve between 350-450 families each month. Broken down, a child, youth or adult can be anywhere from 650 to 850 people. Mrs. Matchett is the only full time person paid. There are 12 board members and 16 volunteers. “Food is essential, and by making this donation you help many people at once” said Judy Losier. Gerard added “we definitely want this money to remain in Miramichi Community Food Bank”.
